Programs at the warehouse

Strokes of Genius, LLC. has been providing artistic expression sessions for Gun Violence Prevention & Intervention programs for individuals in the community using The Warehouse. We provide resources for artistic expression using tools not available to the participants in their community. The sessions have been led by discussions curated to connect the arts to expression. The result is experiential learning that will allow students to have a greater appreciation for their life experiences and applicability of their observances and self-exploration of real-world problems, through The Warehouse in Roanoke, VA. Strokes of Genius, LLC has been creating pathways for participants that have been impacted by violence, to showcase their emotional views in a positive form.

The goal is to expose students to different trades, provide an opportunity to network students with employment within the community and create a place of belonging with other individuals in the community, while addressing career etiquette issues evolving from separation, loss, and grief, which is prevalent in minority neighborhoods.
